“It is a treasure, and I would just be wrecked inside if the public lands are sold. I'm 60 years old and have memories back to as early as I can remember of hiking on public lands in Washington state in the Cascade Mountains with my dad.

He taught me resilience. He taught me endurance. He taught me how not to whine when I was four years old, carrying my backpack up to Augusta Lake. He taught me about nature and about restoring the soul in the forest away from the rat race. And now I have raised outdoorsmen as well. Two sons and a husband who hunt and fish and hike and ski. We need these treasures. Please, please don't sell.”
