A LOSS EVERY AMERICAN WOULD SUFFER

VM. 021

“If Congress chooses to develop this, this will be a loss that every American will suffer. My career as a wildlife biologist had the opportunity to see a huge number of cool, wild places, but there's nothing more spectacular than America's Arctic. I was there during the solstice and saw the midnight sun and a carpet of wildflowers, where you could not avoid stepping on flowers.

Beautiful, lush landscape that is as productive as any place I've seen in my entire life. I would be completely disappointed if we chose to develop the last treasure that we managed to be able to save for the last 50 years, that is something that we protect and love as one natural, wild place.”
