“None of us get a cent from the sales of this. And even if we did, I don't think any of us would give up what this land has given us for money. I grew up playing in the public lands available in Utah. That's what kept me safe. That's what kept me alive. That's what kept me going.

40 years later, I'm living out here. Joshua Tree, California, and I have a six month old son. And all I want for him is the ability to take him to do those things that made me the person that I am, and to take those lands for corporate greed, for political gain, is absolutely asinine. And I cannot believe this is a discussion we're even having.”
