“You're on public lands, you can use it. I can use it. It doesn't matter what your wallet has in it. It's open for all of us. It's an equalizer. We decided we wanted this public good because we recognized the value of it to us as individuals and to us as a country. To be able to have those public lands so that people can honor our environment, to be able to reconnect and take care of yourself and spend some time in nature.

Plenty of studies show how important that is for all of us and our health. And preserving the public lands is a legacy that we can create to honor the people that we basically stole from. So thank you for hopefully being able to get through to these politicians who seem to be willing to give away what belongs to all of us when they have no right to do it.”
