WE’RE DESTROYING OURSELVES

VM. 037

“In Washington, there's a lot of logging. It doesn't feel good when you're around what has happened to those forests. And the idea of that happening everywhere, to lands that we own, as the people, and are just sold to… I don't even know who.

How are we going to keep the water that flows through these places clean? What about the animals that live there? It just seems so awful to go into places that have been growing for years and left at peace, and that we’re just going to destroy it. It feels like we're destroying ourselves. I think we are destroying ourselves. It's just heartbreaking and so shortsighted. We're just in a place we should know better by now. I love our public lands. They’re like the best thing I think we've ever done.”
